Hey blog readers! It’s been another minute since I’ve come on here to chat. This year has been wild! My book has been edited, the cover art painted, the design crafted, the content formatted, and the documents uploaded to Kindle Direct Publishing. During this time I have been derelict in my blogging duties. I have thought often of the blog, during my time away, and am quite pleased with many of the updates and changes that WordPress has made to the back end. I am writing this post in what looks like Times New Roman with maybe a ten-point font. That is not what it shows up as for you on the reading end, but it does help me enjoy the writing experience a great deal more.
I have also been in school this spring semester which has taken a great deal of my time and energy. It is part of the reason I have been absent. This means with summer coming I should be able to post a bit more often soon. I am taking a two-month course at my local community college, this summer, well two of them, but one is online. When those end I will have a few months before my University courses start up in the fall.
I am going to use this time to crank out as much prose as humanly possible. That way, during the semester I can edit and get all the other things done for a release in December. I would like to have the first two books to the trilogy done this summer and have the outline for the third well in hand. The second book is gearing up, if my vision holds true, to be almost 200k words long. But at least I am in good company. The average Wheel of Time book is well over 300k words. This first book is looking like it will be over 100k too.
I plan to post more blogs and more short stories as time wears on, but I don’t know how many or of what quality they will be. I have been doing more Handwriting the Bible, I just haven’t posted an update here in a while.
Anyway, I hope you’ve had a great spring so far and I hope you are ready to hear more from me as the summer comes and goes.
